About this manual

The AD5232 digital potentiometer provides a non‑volatile, dual‑channel variable resistor with selectable terminal resistances of 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ or 100 kΩ. It features full monotonic operation, push‑button increment/decrement compatibility, and a 4‑wire SPI‑compatible serial interface for programming and readback.

The device includes 14 bytes of user EEMEM for constant storage, a 100‑year data‑retention guarantee, and an endurance of 100 k cycles. It operates from a single 3 V–5 V supply or dual ±2.5 V supplies, and is offered in a thin TSSOP‑16 package suitable for industrial temperature ranges.

Frequently asked questions

How many bytes of user non‑volatile memory does the AD5232 provide?

It provides 14 bytes of user EEMEM non‑volatile memory for constant storage.

How long does it take to save the wiper position to the non‑volatile memory?

The EEMEM save operation takes approximately 25 ms, after which the RDY pin goes high.

Which pin indicates that the EEMEM save operation has completed?

The RDY pin signals completion of the EEMEM save.
