About this manual

The AD5246 provides a compact 2 mm × 2.1 mm SC70‑6 package solution for 128‑position adjustment applications. It functions as an electronic variable resistor and is available in four end‑to‑end resistance values (5 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, 100 kΩ). The wiper position is controlled via an I²C‑compatible digital interface that also allows read‑back of the current setting.

Operating from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, the device draws only a few microamps, making it suitable for battery‑operated designs. It features a low temperature coefficient of 45 ppm/°C and operates over –40 °C to +125 °C. An evaluation board and software are available for PC programming.
