AD9522-4 is a 12 LVDS/24 CMOS output clock generator with integrated 1.6 GHz VCO.
The AD9522-4 provides a multi‑output clock distribution function with sub‑picosecond jitter performance. It features an on‑chip VCO that tunes from 1.4 GHz to 1.8 GHz and can also accept an external 3.3 V/5 V VCO/VCXO up to 2.4 GHz. The device supports differential or single‑ended reference inputs, LVDS, LVPECL, or CMOS reference signals, and includes automatic reference switchover, holdover, and zero‑delay operation.
The part is supplied in a 64‑lead LFCSP, operates from a single 3.3 V supply (3.135 V – 3.465 V), and is specified for –40 °C to +85 °C. It delivers twelve 800 MHz LVDS outputs (configurable as CMOS pairs) and four CMOS outputs up to 250 MHz, with programmable dividers, phase delay, and extensive serial control via SPI or I²C.
