About this manual

The AD8079 is a dual, low‑power, high‑speed buffer designed for +5 V supplies. It offers factory‑set gains of +2.0 (AD8079A) or +2.2 (AD8079B), tight gain matching (0.1 %), low crosstalk (< ‑70 dB at 5 MHz) and a 260 MHz –3 dB bandwidth. Power consumption is only 50 mW per amplifier and it can drive over 70 mA into back‑terminated video loads.

Typical applications include differential A‑to‑D drivers, video line drivers, professional cameras and video switchers. The device is supplied in an 8‑pin SOIC package and operates from +3 V to +6 V, with an industrial temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. Ordering options are listed for both gain grades and reel or tape packaging.
