About this manual

The SBC LI 805 receiver is part of Philips' remote‑control extender system. It receives RF signals from the RU 885 remote and converts them to IR to control equipment such as Hi‑Fi sets, VCRs, and satellite receivers throughout the house. The unit can be used alone or as an additional receiver in the SBC LI 800 extender set, and includes an optional IR extension cord with three IR lights.

Installation involves placing the receiver facing the equipment, connecting the supplied adapter to a 230‑240 VAC mains supply, and optionally attaching the IR extension cord. After powering on, the green indicator confirms correct connection. The manual also covers safety precautions, wiring details, and troubleshooting steps such as checking mains power, battery status, and maintaining a maximum 15 m distance between remote and receiver.
