About this manual

The XC6223 Series is a high‑speed low‑dropout (LDO) regulator designed for portable electronics such as digital cameras, cell phones, Bluetooth modules and other battery‑powered devices. It offers built‑in inrush current protection and a wide output‑voltage range selectable in 0.05 V steps.

Key features include a maximum output current of 300 mA, input voltage range 1.6‑5.5 V, low dropout voltage (200 mV at 300 mA), ultra‑low standby current (0.1 µA), high ripple rejection (80 dB at 1 kHz), and integrated current‑limit, short‑circuit and thermal‑shutdown protection. The device requires a low‑ESR output capacitor (≥1 µF) and a 1 µF input capacitor placed close to the pins for stable operation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum output current of the XC6223 series?

The device can deliver up to 300 mA of continuous output current.

How does the inrush current protection work?

When the IC starts, an internal circuit limits the inrush current from the input pin to the output pin while the output capacitor charges, preventing excessive surge currents.

Is the device RoHS compliant?

Yes, the XC6223 series is EU RoHS compliant and lead‑free.
