STi7141 is a highly integrated SoC (system-on-chip) designed to meet the demanding needs of the interactive cable set top box market place. It integrates all the major system functions into a single device, and provides world leading, multi-layer, advanced security technologies to protect valuable video and audio assets.
The STi7141 is a highly integrated system‑on‑chip designed for interactive digital‑cable set‑top boxes. It combines three cable receiver/demodulators, a DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 2.0 modem with DOCSIS 3.0 downstream channel‑bonding, and SCTE‑55 support for CableCARD™. The dual‑core architecture delivers over 1600 DMIPS, enabling firmware‑based HD video decoding (H.264/MPEG‑4 AVC, MPEG‑2, SMPTE VC‑1) and multi‑standard audio processing (MPEG‑4 HE‑AAC, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus).
The device offers a range of interfaces including USB, Ethernet, HDMI™ and eSATA, and supports dual HD/SD display, 2D/3D graphics, and advanced security features. Ordering information is provided under the STi7141ZWA package (PBGA 580 + 100 balls, 35 × 35 mm).
