This document is the Motorola Thyristor Device Data, which introduces the features and characteristics of the company's silicon bidirectional thyristor products

This document describes the features and characteristics of Motorola Thyristor devices, primarily designed for full-wave AC control applications such as light dimmers, motor controls, heating controls, and power supplies. Triac-type thyristors switch from a blocking to a conducting state for either polarity of applied anode voltage with positive or negative gate triggering.

This document is the product data sheet of Motorola's MAC210 series bidirectional thyristor devices. The devices in this series are primarily used for full-wave AC control applications, such as light dimmers, motor controls, heating controls and power supplies; or wherever full-wave silicon gate controlled solid-state devices are needed.

This document introduces the features of the MAC16HC/D silicon bidirectional thyristors. The product features include: high commutating di/dt and high dv/dt immunity, three quadrant uniform gate trigger currents, 800 volt blocking voltage, 16 amperes RMS on-state current rating at 80°C, 150 amperes high surge current capability, TO-220AB standard package, etc.

MAC16D, MAC16M, MAC16N are three high performance full-wave ac control application thyristors from Motorola with high noise immunity and high commutating di/dt.

Motorola Thyristor Device Data is a datasheet about Motorola Thyristor devices. These devices are primarily designed for full wave AC control applications, such as motor controls, heating controls, or dimmers, where full-wave, silicon gate-controlled devices are needed. They have high commutating di/dt and high immunity to dv/dt at 125°C. The devices minimize the need for snubber networks for protection. They have a blocking voltage of up to 800 volts, an on-state current rating of 16 amperes RMS, and a high surge current capability of 150 amperes. The devices come in an industry-standard TO-220AB package for ease of design, and they have glass passivated junctions for reliability and uniformity.

The document describes the features and characteristics of Motorola Thyristor devices, which are designed for high performance full-wave ac control applications requiring high noise immunity and high commutating di/dt. It has a blocking voltage of 800 volts and an on-state current rating of 15 amperes RMS at 80°C. The device has uniform gate trigger currents in three modes and high immunity to dv/dt, with a minimum of 500 V/µs at 125°C. It minimizes the need for snubber networks for protection and is packaged in an industry standard TO-220AB package. The device also has a high commutating di/dt of 9.0 A/ms at 125°C.
