Motorola Thyristor Device Data is a data file about Motorola Thyristor devices. The file describes the features and characteristics of Silicon Bidirectional Triode Thyristors, which are primarily designed for full-wave AC control applications such as lighting systems, heater controls, motor controls, and power supplies. The devices have diffused and glass-passivated junctions for parameter uniformity and stability, and they are constructed with small, rugged Thermowatt construction for thermal resistance and high heat dissipation. The MAC223 series devices guarantee gate triggering in three modes, while the MAC223A series devices guarantee gate triggering in four modes. The devices have a maximum off-state voltage of 800 volts, a maximum on-state RMS current of 25 amps, and a maximum peak non-repetitive surge current of 250 amps.

This datasheet provides the maximum ratings, operating temperature range, storage temperature range, and other information of Motorola MAC218A8 bidirectional thyristor.
