The TD220/221 is a single-chip power management IC with three integrated functions: low-voltage voltage regulator, switching charge pump and power MOS driver. It is designed for industrial applications.

This application note explains the procedure for designing the RS-485 communication lines in energy metering applications which helps e-meter engineers build their projects.

This document describes the fail-safe biasing for the ST485EB interface, which is an RS-485 based interface designed for multipoint differential transmission on a single twisted pair cable. It allows half duplex bi-directional transmission, long cable lengths, and high data rates. Typical applications include LANs, industrial (PLC devices), automotive, and computer interfaces.

ST485 is a RS-485 based interface designed for multipoint differential transmission on a single twisted pair cable. It allows half duplex bi-directional transmission, long cable length and high data rate. Typical applications include LANs, industrial (PLC devices), automotive and computer interfaces. The system evolution in the data communication field leads to the development of faster devices with lower data bit errors and ST485 meets all these requirements.

AN3410 is an LED driver application note released by ST, which introduces a LED driver circuit design that meets the requirements of the US market. This circuit uses ST's L6564 power factor controller in a non-traditional circuit to regulate the input power to a step-down switching regulator. The circuit also compensates for variations in LED voltage drop, to maintain the average output current in a tight band over a wide range of line voltage and LED characteristics. While the input current waveform is not perfectly sinusoidal, power factor and harmonic content are well within the requirements for the US commercial market. The form factor was designed to fit into the PAR38 envelope - the driver and LEDs can be used to replace 65 W incandescent floodlamps.
