ST L6615 is a load sharing controller for parallel DC-DC converters to improve system reliability.

This application note describes the TSM108 Evaluation Board. The board can be used for different converter configurations, and is suitable for 12V to 6V DC/DC converters

This paper describes the functionality and the operation of the STSR2P device used as the secondary synchronous rectifier driver in Forward topology switched mode power supplies. The STSR2P Smart Driver IC provides two complementary high current outputs to drive Power Mosfets. The IC is dedicated to properly drive secondary Synchronous Rectifiers in medium power, low output voltage, high efficiency Forward Converters. From a synchronizing clock input, the IC generates two driving signals with a certain dead time between complementary pulses. The adopted transitions...

AN1686 is an application note about L5991 chip, introduces how the chip realizes overload protection function

This document introduces the working principle of TSM1011, including voltage control, current control, power output and power start, and gives detailed calculation formulas.

AN1657 is a Philips application note on power supply design for 17-inch CRT monitors. It introduces the design principle, technical features and application cases of the power supply.

This application note describes the functionality and how the STSR3 device can be used as the secondary synchronous rectifier driver in Flyback topology switched mode power supplies. A schematic and layout description of a demo board that is able to replace diode rectification with synchronous rectification in Flyback converters is shown below.

This document describes the features and characteristics of the L4981 PFC controller. It is a high performance device operating in average current mode with many on-chip functions. The driver output stage can deliver 1.5A, which is very important for this type of application.

AN1537 application note introduces the standby function of L5991, which can effectively reduce the input power consumption of offline converters at light load, making them compliant with energy saving standards such as EnergyStar, Energy2000 and others.

This paper introduces two double output off-line non isolated SMPS based on the VIPerX2A-E family. The first SMPS is a Buck converter with two positive outputs and the second one is a Buck-Boost converter with two negative outputs.

This document introduces resonant and quasi-resonant converters which have been developed and proposed as a solution to the difficulties of square-wave converters. Quasi-resonant converters use a tank circuit to create a zero-voltage or zero-current condition for the power switch to turn on or off. Quasi-resonant converters can be classified as Zero-Voltage Switching turn-on (ZVS) or Zero-Current Switching turn-off (ZCS) converters. In ZVS converters, the power switch is dynamically connected in parallel to the tank circuit, and the superposition of the resonant voltage and the DC input voltage generates the zero-voltage condition for the switch to turn on. Conversely, in ZCS converters, the power switch is connected in series to the tank circuit, and the superposition of the resonant current and the normal current flow generates the zero-current condition for the switch to turn off.
