The IDEAL SignalTEK CT is a data cable transmission tester designed to prove that installed links run at Gigabit Ethernet transmission rates. It performs both data transmission and wiremap testing to confirm the cabling's ability to support Ethernet applications, reducing the risk of network drop-outs or slow connection speeds caused by faulty wiring.
It supports shielded and unshielded twisted pair cable including Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7.
It transmits 823,452 data frames between two handsets to report any transmission errors against IEEE 802.3ab criteria.
