This document introduces the features and usage of the CS21 transmitter
This manual provides instructions for installing, calibrating, and maintaining the GfG CS21 gas transmitter. It includes safety precautions, mounting guidelines, electrical connections, and procedures for checking electrical zeropoint and sensitivity. The transmitter uses chemosorption technology to convert gas concentration into an electrical signal (0.2–1 mA or 4–20 mA). Calibration and adjustments can be performed using test contacts or a GMA controller.
The manual also covers service and troubleshooting, including maintenance intervals and spare parts. It emphasizes that the device is not certified for use in hazardous areas and requires professional installation and calibration to ensure safe operation.
| Output Signal | 0.2 .. 1 mA or 4 .. 20 mA |
|---|---|
| Supply Voltage | 10 .. 32 V DC |
| IP Rating | IP 54 |
The output signal is 0.2 to 1 mA or 4 to 20 mA, depending on the interface selected.
After a warm-up time of approx. 30 minutes, measure the voltage at the test contacts; it should be approx. 200mV, corresponding to 0.2 mA or 4 mA.
The CS21 has an IP 54 rating, providing protection against water and dust.
