This document describes the features and characteristics of the DRV8803 four-channel low-side driver IC, including NMOS field-effect transistors with overcurrent protection, parallel interface, maximum drive current, operating power supply voltage range, etc.
The DRV8803 is a four-channel low-side driver IC featuring four NMOS field-effect transistors (FETs) with integrated sense clamp diodes. It is designed to drive inductive loads such as single-phase stepper motors, DC motors, relays, and solenoids. The device supports two package types: the DW (SOIC) package with a maximum drive current of 1.5A per channel (single channel on) and the PWP (HTSSOP) package with a maximum drive current of 2A per channel (single channel on) under appropriate PCB thermal conditions. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Power supply voltage range | 8.2V to 60V |
|---|---|
| Maximum drive current (SOIC, single channel) | 1.5A |
| Maximum drive current (HTSSOP, single channel) | 2A |
| Operating junction temperature | -40°C to 150°C |
| Overcurrent protection trip level | 2.3A to 3.8A |
It is suitable for driving relays, single-phase stepper motors, and solenoids.
Yes, it includes overcurrent, short circuit, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature protection.
