This document is a datasheet for ADL5304, which describes the features and characteristics of the product, including optimized response speed, bandwidth, input range, law conformance, precision voltage references and reference current, adaptive photodiode bias, programmable log slope and intercept, etc.
The ADL5304 is a high-speed logarithmic converter designed for fast response and low noise over a wide 200 dB (1 pA to 10 mA) measurement range. It features a nominal logarithmic slope of 10 mV/dB and supports both single-supply operation at 5 V and dual-supply configurations extending the input current range.
The device accepts two current inputs, INUM and IDEN, allowing for log ratio operations where the denominator current is treated similarly to the numerator. It includes adaptive photodiode biasing to minimize dark current and provides precise voltage references (1P5V and 2VLT) for accurate intercept positioning.
| Input Current Range (Single Supply) | 1 pA to 3 mA |
|---|---|
| Input Current Range (Dual Supply) | 1 pA to 10 mA |
| Logarithmic Slope | 200 mV/dec |
| Bandwidth (INUM > 1 µA) | >4 MHz |
| Operating Temperature Range | -40°C to +85°C |
The device covers a 200 dB measurement range from 1 pA to 10 mA.
The default log slope is 10 mV/dB at the VLOG pin.
Yes, it supports single or dual-supply operation to extend the input current range.
