This document introduces the development of Samsung microcontrollers and provides a reference table for programming voltage settings. It also explains the usage and applicability of different models of programmers.
The document serves as a quick reference guide for setting programming voltages when burning firmware into Samsung Microcontrollers. It details the naming conventions for different ROM types (MASK, OTP, FLASH) indicated by suffixes like 2/4/8 or letters A/B.
A comprehensive table lists specific chip models across S3C7XXX, S3C8XXX, and S3C9XXX series. For each model, it specifies the required Vdd logic voltage (either 5.0V or 3.3V) and the programming voltage Vpp (12V, 11V, or 5.0V). The table also indicates which programmer models from the SSW series support these specific settings. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Supported MCU Types | 4-bit/8-bit Microcontrollers (MASK ROM, OTP ROM, FLASH ROM) |
|---|---|
| Default Vpp Voltage | 12V |
| Special Programming Voltage Requirement | 11V for specific new models |
| Recommended Capacitor for PCB Programming | 104/1UF to GND near Vpp pin |
The default Vpp output voltage is 12V, which does not require special settings.
Leave the Vpp terminal completely unused and connect the Vdd terminal directly to the Vpp terminal on the adapter.
SSW V3.0C and later V3.0 series programmers support selecting VPP=11V directly in the software.
