About this manual

This document provides installation instructions for the Fiberstars FLG/FLW Feature Light, a fiber optic lighting fixture intended for use in gunite pools. The guide outlines the necessary components, including the fixture, broadcast lens, and various o-rings and centering devices.

The installation process is divided into two phases: before gunite and after gunite. Before gunite, the user must run a 1" PVC SCH 40 pipe to the fixture location, ensuring it is below the water level and directly under the water feature. After gunite, the pipe is cut flush, and the fiber kit is threaded through the fixture. The lens is installed with specific gaskets and Teflon tape, and the fixture is inserted into the pipe and leveled 5" to 7" below the water level.
