AD1958 is a digital audio decoder launched by Analog Devices. It supports 16-/18-/20-/24-Bit data and 24 bits, 192 kHz sampling rate. It can accept 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz and 192 kHz. The device uses a multi-bit Sigma-Delta modulator, which has a “perfect differential linearity restoration” function to reduce idle tone and noise floor. AD1958 also uses data-directed scrambling DACs that are least sensitive to jitter. The device uses single-ended output for easy use. At 48 kHz sampling rate (A-weighted stereo), the signal-to-noise ratio of AD1958 is 108 dB (not muted).
