This document describes the Texas Instruments low-frequency (LF) reader module, which is used for communication with Texas Instruments 134.2 kHz LF transponders in various applications. The module features best-in-class performance and reduced power output for handheld and medium read/write range applications. It has been proven in harsh industrial environments and is easy to install and use.
The Texas Instruments RI-RFM-003B is a Series 2000 Mini Radio Frequency Module designed to interface between a Data Processing Unit and 134.2 kHz HDX/FSK transponders. It provides functionality to energize the transponder, modulate RF signals for data transmission, and process identification signals for digital decoding. The module is suitable for handheld applications due to its small size and low supply voltage requirements.
