This document is an instruction manual for the Hanna HI 9811-5 portable pH/EC/TDS/°C meter, providing information on its functions, specifications, and operational guide.
The Hanna Instruments HI 9811-5 is a splash-proof portable combination meter designed with simplicity in mind. It features a large LCD display and allows users to easily select measurement modes for pH, conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), and temperature via the front panel keypad.
Conductivity measurements are automatically compensated for temperature changes using a built-in sensor with a fixed coefficient of 2%/°C. The instrument is suitable for applications in hydroponics, greenhouses, farming, and ground water analysis.
| pH Range | 0.0 to 14.0 |
|---|---|
| TDS Range | 0 to 3000 mg/L |
| Temperature Range | 0.0 to 70.0 °C |
| pH Accuracy | +2% of reading |
| TDS Accuracy | +2% of reading |
| Battery Type | 1x 9V alkaline |
| Dimensions | 145 x 80 x 36 mm |
The temperature coefficient is fixed at 2%/°C.
It is recommended to recalibrate whenever the electrode is replaced, at least once a month, after testing aggressive chemicals, or where extreme accuracy is required.
Use pH 7.01 (HI 7007) for neutral samples, pH 4.01 (HI 7004) for acidic samples, or pH 10.01 (HI 7010) for alkaline measurements.
