The KS 98 is a compact automation device whose functions are freely structurable by means of function blocks. This enables multi-input con- trol operations, sequence functions and complex mathematical computa- tions to be performed. Depending on its configuration, the KS 98 can be op- erated as PLC, controller, program- mer, or data logger. The unit provides the operating facili- ties for all of these alternatives as standard. Trend and bargraph displays, plus input/ output masks for analog and digital signals are the basis for simple, confident operation of plants and processes. For several frequently-used standard applications, predefined controller op- tions are available. They only need to be configured and have their parame- ters set via the front-panel keys.
