This is the manual of KS 800 multi-loop temperature controller.
The PMA KS 800 is a microprocessor-controlled multi-loop temperature controller designed for precise, low-cost temperature control. It features interfaces for bus or field-bus communication and is ideally suited for applications such as plastics processing machines, heated moulds, packaging machines, and tempering units. Standard functions include set-point lowering, heating/cooling with four alarms, and self-tuning for short start-up times.
The device offers extensive monitoring and control capabilities, including input circuit monitoring for sensor faults, heating current monitoring, and leakage current detection. It supports various controller configurations such as signaller, two-point or three-point controller, master controller, and positioner. Optional features include 8 additional analog control outputs for split-range controllers and direct connection of melt pressure sensors.
