R1170x series CMOS low dropout linear regulator (LDO), provide 800mA output. CMOS process provides both high output current and low supply current. Dropout voltage is significantly lower than bipolar regulators. CE pin can switch the regulator into standby mode. In addition to a fold-back protection circuit built into conventional LDO regulators, R1170x has a thermal shutdown circuit.
The Ricoh R1170x Series are CMOS-based Low Dropout (LDO) regulators designed to provide an 800mA output current. These devices feature a significantly lower dropout voltage compared to bipolar regulators and include a CE pin to switch the regulator into standby mode. The series incorporates fold-back protection and a thermal shutdown circuit that stops operation at 150°C.
