The LM317L is an adjustable 3-terminal positive voltage regulator capable of supplying 100mA over a 1.2V to 37V output range. It is designed to be exceptionally easy to use, requiring only two external resistors to set the output voltage. The device offers full overload protection, including current limit, thermal overload, and safe area protection, all of which remain functional even if the adjustment terminal is disconnected.
The regulator is available in three standard packages: TO-92, SO-8, and 6-Bump micro SMD. It operates over a temperature range of -25°C to 125°C and features a reference voltage of approximately 1.25V.
