ICS8422002I-01 is a 2-output LVHSTL frequency synthesizer optimized to generate Ethernet reference clock frequencies. Using a 25MHz 18pF parallel resonant crystal, the following frequencies can be generated based on the 2 frequency select pins (F_SEL[1:0]): 156.25MHz, 125MHz and 62.5MHz. The ICS8422002I-01 uses ICS' 3rd generation low phase noise VCO technology and can achieve 1ps or lower typical rms phase jitter, easily meeting Ethernet jitter requirements. The ICS8422002I-01 is packaged in a small 20-pin TSSOP package.
The ICS8422002I-01 is a member of the HiPerClocks family from Integrated Circuit Systems. It is designed to generate Ethernet reference clock frequencies using a 25MHz parallel resonant crystal. The device supports output frequencies of 156.25MHz, 125MHz, and 62.5MHz based on frequency select pins.
The synthesizer utilizes ICS' 3rd generation low phase noise VCO technology to achieve typical RMS phase jitter as low as 0.44ps at 156.25MHz. It is available in a small 20-pin TSSOP package and operates over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
| VCO Range | 80MHz - 680MHz |
|---|---|
| Operating Temperature | -40°C to 85°C |
| Package Type | 20-pin TSSOP |
| Crystal Frequency | 25MHz (Typical) |
The VCO operates in a range from 80MHz to 680MHz.
The device can generate 156.25MHz, 125MHz, and 62.5MHz output frequencies.
The typical RMS phase jitter is 0.44ps when using a 25MHz crystal.
The 20-Lead TSSOP package measures 6.5mm x 4.4mm x 0.92mm.
