About this manual

The SN54LVTH244A and SN74LVTH244A devices are designed specifically for low-voltage (3.3-V) VCC operation but can provide a TTL interface to a 5-V system environment. They are organized as two 4-bit line drivers with separate output-enable inputs, featuring active bus-hold circuitry to hold unused or floating data inputs at a valid logic level.

These devices support hot-insertion applications using latch-up and power-up 3-state features. The latch-up circuitry disables outputs during power-down to prevent damaging current backflow, while the power-up 3-state circuitry places outputs in a high-impedance state during power transitions to prevent driver conflicts.
