About this manual

The APSA wall‑mounted surge‑protecting socket boxes are designed to shield connected equipment from voltage spikes caused by indirect lightning, switching of inductive loads, or other transients. They use a special varistor configuration to achieve a short‑circuit withstand current of up to 15 kA and a nominal voltage of 230 V (Uoc = 10 kV, SPD Type 3).

Installation requires a correctly grounded DIN 49440 protection‑contact wall socket. A green indicator lamp stays lit when the device is functional; a red lamp signals that the protective element has tripped and the downstream consumer is disconnected. Several variants are offered (art‑Nr. 8013, 8014, 8013T, 8013D) with optional EM V‑filter, external earth terminal, and TAE or ISDN interfaces. This manual is written in German.
