This document describes the features and characteristics of the M95040, M95020, and M95010 serial SPI bus EEPROMs, including compatibility with the SPI bus serial interface, supply voltage range, high-speed clock rate, write time, status register, byte and page write functionality, self-timed programming cycle, adjustable size read-only EEPROM area, enhanced ESD protection, more than 1 million erase/write cycles, and more than 40-year data retention.
The M95040, M95020 and M95010 are serial SPI‑compatible EEPROM devices offering 4 Kbit, 2 Kbit and 1 Kbit of non‑volatile storage respectively. They operate from a single supply voltage and support high‑speed 10 MHz clock rates with write times of 5 ms. The devices feature enhanced ESD protection, over 1 million erase/write cycles and a data retention of more than 40 years.
The family includes multiple package options (PDIP8, SO8, TSSOP8) and variants with different supply voltage ranges (standard, –W, –R). Detailed signal descriptions, timing diagrams, and instruction sets are provided for integration with microcontrollers via the SPI bus.
