About this manual

The LM48555 is a Boomer‑series audio power amplifier designed to drive piezoelectric ceramic speakers in portable devices such as mobile phones, PDAs and digital cameras. It provides up to 15.7 Vpp output with less than 1 % THD+N, a low‑power shutdown mode, differential inputs, and an integrated boost regulator with soft‑start to eliminate audible transients.

Typical applications include mobile phones, PDAs, digital cameras and other battery‑operated equipment. The device operates from a 2.7 V to 6.5 V supply, offers under‑voltage lock‑out protection, and features built‑in click‑pop suppression at 217 Hz. Detailed electrical characteristics, thermal limits and performance graphs are provided in the datasheet.
