About this manual

The Powerex T700 is a silicon‑controlled rectifier (SCR) designed for phase‑control applications such as power supplies, battery chargers, motor control, light dimmers and VAR generators. It is an all‑diffused, compression‑bonded encapsulated device with low on‑state voltage, high dv/dt capability, hermetic packaging and excellent surge ratings.

Key specifications include an average on‑state current of 250‑350 A, voltage rating of 200‑2200 V, peak one‑cycle surge currents up to 10 kA, a junction‑to‑case thermal resistance of 10 °C/W, and a typical weight of 18 oz. The datasheet also lists mechanical dimensions, mounting torque, and thermal impedance curves for design reference.
