DATA DELAY DEVICES DDU4C 5-TAP HCMOS-INTERFACED FIXED DELAY LINE

The DDU4C is a 5-tap digital buffered delay line. The input signal is reproduced at the five output terminals T1-T5, shifted in time by an amount determined by the dash number of the device.

About this manual

The DDU4C series provides a 5‑tap digitally buffered delay line. The input signal is reproduced at five equally spaced outputs (T1‑T5) with a total delay selectable by the dash number. Tap‑to‑tap delay is one‑fifth of the total line delay.

The datasheet lists electrical characteristics such as a 5 V DC supply, 8 ns typical output rise time, operating temperature range 0 °C to 70 °C, and a temperature coefficient of 300 ppm/°C. Application notes cover high‑frequency response, recommended power‑supply bypassing, and test setup procedures.

Frequently asked questions

How should the power supply be decoupled for the DDU4C?

Place a 0.1 µF capacitor from VDD to GND as close as possible to the VDD pin.

What is the minimum input pulse width the device can handle?

The device can accept input pulses as short as 20 % of the total delay.
