The IA series low profile pushbutton switches are IP67 front panel sealed, resistant to frost, sand and hydrocarbons, and have good tactile feedback.
The IA series from APEM provides low‑profile pushbutton switches designed for harsh environments. The switches are sealed to IP67 (with O‑ring above the panel) or IP64 (with O‑ring under the panel) and can operate from –20 °C to +65 °C. They feature tactile feedback, a 7 mm panel thickness and a total travel of 1.5 mm.
Electrical specifications include a maximum current of 2 A at 24 VDC, an initial contact resistance of 100 mΩ, insulation resistance of 100 MΩ at 500 VDC, and a dielectric strength of 1 kV AC rms. The contacts are silver, the actuator is polyurethane, and the terminals are sealed with epoxy. Standard hardware (knurled nut and O‑ring) is supplied, and the switches are packaged in units of 25 pieces.
| Maximum current / voltage rating | 2 A / 24 VDC |
|---|---|
| Initial contact resistance | 100 mΩ max. |
| Insulation resistance | 100 MΩ min. at 500 VDC |
| Dielectric strength | 1 kV AC rms |
| Panel thickness | 7 mm max. |
| Total travel | 1.5 mm ±0.3 mm |
| Operating force | 6.5 N +2 N |
| Front panel sealing (O‑ring above) | IP67 |
| Operating temperature range | -20 °C to +65 °C |
The switches are rated for a maximum current of 2 A with a 24 VDC resistive load.
With an O‑ring above the panel the sealing is IP67; with an O‑ring under the panel it is IP64.
The switches can operate from –20 °C up to +65 °C.
The contacts are made of silver.
