About this manual

The Opti‑strip is a specialized stripping tool designed to remove secondary coatings from optical fibres and PTFE‑coated wires. It accommodates leads of any length and works on both loose and tight‑fit fibres. Front and rear guide bushes position the fibre accurately, preventing core damage and sagging during operation.

Operation involves selecting the correct guide bushes, adjusting the blade depth with the conical nut, inserting the lead, spinning the handle, and pulling off the outer jacket. The stripped slug exits through the hollow spindle. The tool includes a storage case with guide bushes and spare blades, and the cutting depth can be locked permanently.
