About this manual

The ADN2880 is a high‑gain SiGe transimpedance amplifier (TIA) that converts the small current of a photodiode into a differential voltage. It operates from a 3.3 V supply, provides a typical input‑referred noise of 315 nA, and includes an on‑chip RC filter (200 Ω, 20 pF) with a 20 kHz low‑frequency cutoff.

Designed for 3.2 Gbps or lower optical receivers, the device is offered in die form with a 0.7 mm × 1.2 mm footprint and is suitable for TO‑46 or TO‑CAN packages. Applications include SONET, GbE, FC optical receivers and SFF‑8472‑compliant modules.
