This document is the technical manual for 0.1μF, 5V Powered CMOS RS-232 Drivers/Receivers ADM206/ADM207/ADM208/ADM211/ADM213. It introduces the features of the product, including capacitor range, data rate, receiver number, power supply range, power consumption, standby power consumption, receiver input levels, etc.
The ADM2xx family of CMOS RS‑232 drivers and receivers is designed for EIA‑232‑E interfaces using a single 5 V supply. They integrate charge‑pump voltage converters to generate the required ±10 V RS‑232 levels and include low‑power shutdown modes for battery‑powered applications.
Key features include low‑power shutdown (≤5 µW), on‑board DC‑DC converters, selectable pin‑compatible packages, and active‑low/high enable and shutdown pins. The devices are suited for computers, peripherals, modems, printers and instrumentation.
