The 24C01A/02A/04A family are low‑power CMOS 1 K/2 K/4 K‑bit serial EEPROMs that use a two‑wire I²C‑compatible interface. They offer hardware write‑protect, page‑write buffers, and up to 1 000 000 erase/write cycles with data retention over 200 years.
The datasheet provides electrical characteristics such as a 5 V supply, 100 kHz clock frequency, 1 ms byte‑write time, and standby current of 100 µA. Temperature ranges cover commercial (0‑70 °C), industrial (‑40‑85 °C) and automotive (‑40‑125 °C). Package options include DIP and SOIC (8‑lead and 14‑lead) versions.
| Supply Voltage | 5 V |
|---|---|
| Erase/Write Cycle Endurance | 1 000 000 cycles |
| Data Retention | >200 years |
| Page Write Buffer Size | 2 bytes (24C01A/02A), 8 bytes (24C04A) |
Up to eight 24C01A/02A devices and up to four 24C04A devices may be connected to the bus.
