This document is the introduction manual of AD7414/AD7415 products of ADI company, which introduces the product characteristics, including 10-bit temperature-to-digital converter, temperature range, typical accuracy, SMBus/I2C® compatible serial interface, 3μA power-down current, temperature conversion time, space-saving 6-lead (AD7414) and 5-lead (AD7415) SOT-23 packages etc.
The AD7414 and AD7415 are 10‑bit digital temperature sensors offered in compact 5‑lead and 6‑lead SOT‑23 packages. They provide a SMBus/I²C‑compatible two‑wire serial interface, selectable I²C addresses, and an optional ALERT output for over‑temperature monitoring. Designed for low power consumption (3 pA power‑down) and a supply range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, they are suited for applications such as hard‑disk drives, PCs, test equipment, and domestic appliances.
Key specifications include a temperature range of –40 °C to +125 °C, typical accuracy of ±0.5 °C at 40 °C, 10‑bit resolution (0.25 °C per LSB), and a conversion time of about 25 µs. The devices support up to eight I²C addresses for the AD7414 and six for the AD7415, and feature programmable high‑temperature limits and ALERT polarity.
