The COP8SG Family ROM and OTP based microcontrollers are highly integrated COP8™ Feature core devices with 8k to 32k memory and advanced features including Analog comparators, and zero external components. These single- chip CMOS devices are suited for more complex applica- tions requiring a full featured controller with larger memory, low EMI, two comparators, and a full-duplex USART.
The COP8SG family consists of highly integrated 8‑bit CMOS microcontrollers offering 8 kB to 32 kB of ROM or OTP memory, two analog comparators, a full‑duplex USART, three 16‑bit timers with PWM, and up to fourteen vectored interrupts. Devices are available in 28‑pin DIP, 40‑pin DIP, 44‑pin PLCC, PQFP and CSP packages and operate from 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
Key features include low EMI design, selectable clock sources (crystal, external, internal RC), power‑saving HALT/IDLE modes, high‑current I/O, and optional watchdog and clock‑monitor logic. Electrical specifications such as a 15 MHz clock (0.67 µs instruction cycle) and typical supply current of 9 mA are provided, along with detailed pin‑out tables and mechanical dimensions.
