The 25AA160A/B, 25LC160A/B (25XX160A/B*) are 16 Kbit Serial Electrically Erasable PROMs. The memory is accessed via a simple Serial Peripheral Interface™ (SPI™) compatible serial bus. Access to the device is controlled through a Chip Select (CS) input.
The 25AA160A/B and 25LC160A/B devices are 16‑Kbit (2048 × 8‑bit) Serial EEPROMs accessed via a standard SPI bus. They are offered in several 8‑lead packages (PDIP, SOIC, MSOP, TSSOP) and support both industrial (‑40 °C to +85 °C) and automotive (‑40 °C to +125 °C) temperature ranges.
Key features include a maximum clock frequency of 10 MHz, low‑power CMOS technology, page sizes of 16 bytes (A‑version) or 32 bytes (B‑version), self‑timed erase/write cycles, block write protection, and an endurance of 1 000 000 erase/write cycles with data retention exceeding 200 years.
| Memory organization | 2048 × 8 bits (16 Kbit) |
|---|---|
| Maximum clock frequency | 10 MHz |
| VCC range (AA version) | 1.8 V to 5.5 V |
| VCC range (LC version) | 2.5 V to 5.5 V |
| Page size (A version) | 16 bytes |
| Page size (B version) | 32 bytes |
| Endurance | 1 000 000 erase/write cycles |
| Data retention | >200 years |
| ESD protection | >4000 V |
| Industrial temperature range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| Automotive temperature range | -40 °C to +125 °C |
The devices support a maximum SPI clock frequency of 10 MHz.
The EEPROMs are rated for up to 1 000 000 erase/write cycles.
B‑version devices use a 32‑byte page size.
