About this manual

The 93XX66 series are 4‑Kbit low‑voltage serial EEPROMs offered in multiple voltage options (1.8 V, 2.5 V, 5 V) and package types such as PDIP, SOIC, MSOP, SOT‑23 and TSSOP. They support 8‑bit or 16‑bit word organizations selectable via the ORG pin (for C‑versions) and are suited for low‑power, non‑volatile memory applications.

The datasheet details device features, pin assignments, absolute maximum ratings, DC and AC electrical characteristics, timing diagrams for erase, write, read and other commands, as well as the full instruction set and product identification information.

Frequently asked questions

What does the ORG pin do?

The ORG pin selects the word size for the ‘66C versions; it is not present on A or B versions.

What is the maximum operating temperature for automotive‑grade devices?

Automotive‑grade devices operate from –40 °C to +125 °C.

How many write/erase cycles can the EEPROM endure?

The devices are rated for 1 M (one million) write/erase cycles.

What is the standby current of these EEPROMs?

The standby current is specified as 5 µA.
