LM185-1.2/LM285-1.2/LM385-1.2 Micropower Voltage Reference Diodes
The LM185‑1.2, LM285‑1.2 and LM385‑1.2 are micropower, 2‑terminal band‑gap voltage reference diodes offering exceptionally low dynamic impedance and excellent temperature stability. They are designed for a wide range of reference applications, from portable meters to general‑purpose analog circuitry, and feature on‑chip trimming for tight voltage tolerance.
These devices are available in several hermetic and low‑cost packages (TO‑46, TO‑92, SO, SOT‑23) and operate over temperature ranges from –55 °C to 125 °C depending on the part. Typical specifications include a 1 % or 2 % initial tolerance, operating current of 10 µA to 20 mA, and a reference voltage of 1.235 V.
| Initial tolerance | ±1% (LM185) / ±2% (LM285/LM385) |
|---|---|
| Operating current range | 10 µA to 20 mA |
| Dynamic impedance | 1 Ω |
| Reference voltage | 1.235 V |
| Temperature range (LM185‑1.2) | -55 °C to 125 °C |
| Temperature range (LM285‑1.2) | -40 °C to 85 °C |
| Temperature range (LM385‑1.2) | 0 °C to 70 °C |
| Available packages | TO‑46, TO‑92, SO, SOT‑23 |
The LM185‑1.2 is rated for operation from –55 °C to 125 °C.
All three devices provide a low voltage reference of 1.235 V.
They are offered in hermetic TO‑46, low‑cost TO‑92, SO and SOT‑23 packages.
The devices operate with a current between 10 µA and 20 mA.
