About this manual

The ADG5204 analog switch provides four single channels with ultralow capacitance, low charge injection, and fast switching speed, making it suitable for data‑acquisition, sample‑and‑hold, and video signal routing. It features trench isolation that prevents latch‑up even under severe over‑voltage conditions and supports both dual‑supply (+9 V to +22 V) and single‑supply (9 V to 40 V) operation.

Typical applications include automatic test equipment, instrumentation, avionics, audio/video switching, and communication systems. The device offers 3‑bit address control, break‑before‑make switching, and a wide analog signal range that extends to the supply rails.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum supply voltage for the ADG5204?

The device can operate from +9 V to +22 V with dual supplies, or from 9 V up to 40 V with a single supply.

What is the typical on‑resistance of the ADG5204?

The typical on‑resistance is 160 Ω at a supply of +10 V and 1 mA test current.

Is the ADG5204 protected against latch‑up?

Yes, trench isolation separates the P and N channel transistors to guard against latch‑up even under severe over‑voltage conditions.

What are the digital input voltage levels for the ADG5204?

The input high voltage is a minimum of 2.0 V and the input low voltage is a maximum of 0.8 V.
