The SAA7115 is a 9-bit video decoder produced by Philips, which supports NTSC, PAL, SECAM formats, has 2x oversampling, can adapt to various application scenarios, automatic standard detection, high-precision H/V scaler, frame-accurate audio clock and optional square pixel output rate.
The SAA7115 is a single‑chip 9‑bit video decoder that provides front‑end digitization and processing for analog video sources. It supports automatic detection of NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards, offers a pixel‑accurate horizontal and vertical scaler, and includes a universal VBI slicer for multiple data types such as closed captioning and teletext.
Designed for set‑top boxes, digital TVs, video projectors, DVD recorders and surveillance systems, the device features six analog inputs, dual low‑noise ADCs with 2× oversampling, on‑chip line‑locked clock generation, and I²C‑bus programming up to 400 kbit/s. The LQFP100 package is pin‑to‑pin compatible with the SAA7114.
