The SCP121B is a serial parallel expander that can be addressed through 3 hardware address pins for use with up to 8 devices. It features low standby current consumption, a 400 kHz Fast I2C bus, open-drain interrupt output, compatibility with most microcontrollers, and the ability to directly drive LEDs.
The PCF8575 provides a remote 16‑bit I²C/SMBus I/O expansion solution for microcontroller families. Each port can be used as an input or output, with latched outputs capable of directly driving LEDs. The device includes an open‑drain interrupt output that signals any change on the port inputs.
