About this manual

The AD2S1200 from Analog Devices provides a complete 12‑bit resolution tracking resolver‑to‑digital conversion, integrating a programmable sinusoidal oscillator for resolver excitation. It supports both parallel 12‑bit and 3‑wire serial interfaces, and offers incremental encoder emulation of 1,024 pulses per revolution.

The device includes fault detection for loss of signal, signal degradation, and loss of tracking, and operates from a single 5 V supply over a temperature range of –40 °C to +125 °C. It is supplied in a 44‑lead LQFP package and is intended for automotive, electric‑vehicle and industrial motion‑control applications.
