About this manual

The MAX6646, MAX6647, and MAX6649 are precise dual‑channel digital temperature sensors that measure both the die temperature and a remote PN‑junction temperature. They communicate via a standard SMBus‑compatible 2‑wire serial interface and provide two alarm outputs (ALERT and OVERT) for over‑temperature protection.

Key features include 0.125 °C resolution, ±1 °C accuracy for remote measurements between +60 °C and +145 °C, programmable conversion rates, low‑power standby mode, and an 8‑pin UMAX package. The devices operate from –55 °C to +125 °C and support a wide range of applications such as graphics processors, servers, workstations, and test equipment.
