The LT1167 is a low power, precision instrumentation amplifier that requires only one external resistor to set gains of 1 to 10,000
The LT1167 is a low‑power, precision instrumentation amplifier that requires only a single external resistor to set gains from 1 to 10 000. It offers very low voltage noise (7.5 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz) and low power dissipation (≈0.9 mA typical at +2.3 V to +15 V). The device is laser‑trimmed for low input offset voltage, low drift, high CMRR and PSRR, and can drive capacitive loads up to 1000 pF.
Key specifications include a wide supply range of +2.3 V to +18 V, gain error as low as 0.008 % at G=1, input offset voltage of 60 µV max at G=10, supply current of 1.3 mA max, and operating temperature from –40 °C to 85 °C. The part is offered in 8‑pin PDIP and SO packages and is suitable for bridge amplifiers, strain‑gauge amplifiers, thermocouple amplifiers, and other precision instrumentation applications.
