This document describes the features and characteristics of the .050" Round Conductor Flat Cable produced by 3M Interconnect Solutions Division. The cable features halogen-free insulation, which provides advantages of low smoke (BSS 7238) and low toxicity of combustion gases (NES 713), reducing the risk to firefighters, as well as low corrosivity of combustion gases (pH<6.0), reducing damage to nearby equipment. The cable utilizes 28 AWG stranded conductors on .050 inch pitch, allowing for mass terminations to a broad line of IDC connectors. It is zippable for branching or discrete termination.
