VHB Acrylic Foam Tape 4905F is a clear acrylic VHB tape, ideal for bonding transparent materials or applications where a colored bond line is unacceptable. These tapes have slightly lower peel, tensile, and shear performance compared to other VHB tapes due to their softness.
The 3M VHB 4905F is a clear acrylic foam tape designed for bonding transparent materials and high‑energy surfaces such as glass, acrylic sheet and metals. It offers lower peel, tensile and shear performance than other VHB tapes due to its inherent softness, and is not guaranteed to be optically clear.
The sheet provides specifications for thickness, density, peel adhesion, tensile strength, shear strength, temperature limits and UV resistance, as well as recommended application temperatures (20 °C‑40 °C), surface preparation, and bonding limitations for low‑energy plastics and certain metals.

The ideal application temperature range is 20 °C to 40 °C.
Bonding to polypropylene is not recommended.
