About this manual

The MAX17498A, MAX17498B and MAX17498C are current‑mode fixed‑frequency flyback/boost converters that require a minimum number of external components. They integrate all control circuitry needed for wide‑input‑voltage isolated and non‑isolated power supplies, with EN/UVLO and OVI pins for start‑up control and over‑voltage protection.

The devices are offered in a compact 16‑pin (3 mm × 3 mm) TQFN package and provide features such as programmable soft‑start, programmable current limit, slope compensation, and an open‑drain power‑good (PGOOD) indicator. MAX17498A is optimized for universal offline (85 V AC‑265 V AC) applications, while MAX17498B and MAX17498C target low‑voltage DC‑DC designs.
